I am Willem Brandsma. I would not say I am an Audiophile, because my relationship with audio never became sexual, but I would say, I really like audio. We're like siblings.
Specifically I love detail. The one true cornerstone of truly High Fidelity audio. I love hearing details in music I didn't hear before, I love listening to the delicate crunch of leaves under my feat in a video game, I love being fully immersed in a movie by the sounds of airplanes flying overhead and voices of the actors sounding like they are really there, and I love it when you hear those small human mistakes that made it past the cutting floor into a production album that brings you closer to the artists as the three dimensional people that they are.

Detail establishes and emotional bond.

There is only one technology on earth that can achieve that level of detail. And that is electrostatic transducers. "Estats" as the cool kids call them.

There is one major problem with Estats, they cost a ton of money. I think that this is cruel. It is cruel to deprive so many people of what I think is a transformative experience behind the insurmountable walled garden of unaffordability.

My goal is to scale the wall, take the forbidden proverbial rapunzel from the garden, and make it accessible to anyone who wants to indulge in the unparalleled detail of electrostatic systems.

Except this time if a cankerous old woman starts complaining, instead of giving her my first born I'll just punch her in the nose.
